Web properties were spread across different content management systems, hosting arrangements, and vendors. Teams faced missing functionality, slow change requests, and separate learning curves for different applications.
Harvard Pilgrim needed its digital environment to support expanding requirements without adding another layer of operational complexity to every project.

Stakeholder interviews helped define and document business and user goals across the portfolio. Common needs included greater control over content, room for future development, and responsive technical support.
Those requirements informed the choice of Drupal as a shared platform. The approach considered application functionality alongside the need to connect with existing databases, systems, and infrastructure.
The implementation

The work moved properties toward a common Drupal foundation project by project. Flexible content components supported different layouts and content needs within a familiar administration environment.
That consistency allowed the knowledge staff gained on one property to carry into another. The engagement combined platform decisions with the development and migration work needed to put them into practice.
